MONTHLY MEETINGS

Members gather the first Saturday each month at the Trini Mendenhall Community Center, 1414 Wirt Road, Houston 77055.  The Board of Directors will meet at 9AM; refreshments are served at 10:00 AM, followed by the regular meeting starting at 10:15 AM.

Monthly meetings include world-renowned guest speaker programs, “show and tell” demonstrations, and hands on workshops that inform and educate.

  • Saturday, January 19th, Bring your own Juniper (BYOJT) Class, Location – Timeless Trees, 1PM – 5 PM. (8 people – 4 spots open)  Cost is $ 60.00,  Join us for a workshop to help develop those junipers.  If you decide to stay all day, the total cost would be $110.00.
  • Sunday, January 20th, Foemina Juniper Forest Class, Location – Timeless Trees, 9 AM – 3 PM. (8 people – 6 spots open)  Cost is $??,   This will be a two year, two part project , to construct a Foemina Juniper forest.  Year One will include selecting material, wiring and pruning it, and reducing the root ball to a shallower, wider root ball, in good soil.  Year Two will again refine the wired trees we have, and put in in a forest planting.  Cost will be dependent on the size and quantity of trees selected. The small one gallon trees are $ 20.00 each, and the larger ones more.
