LSBF – Texas Tour Artist – Robert Kempinski – Lecture DemoTrinni Mendenhall Community Center, 6:30 – 9 PM, Robert lives in central Florida; his collection is a mix of tropical and temperate trees that can take the heat of our summers and very mild winters. I especially like Buttonwood, Japanese Black Pine and Willow Leaf Ficus trees. While my collection has many large trees, I have developed an affinity for shohin trees and have well over 100. He is a Past President of Bonsai Clubs International.

Bonsai Basics #1 Class – Re-Potting(8 spots – 3 spots open) We will teach the basics of styling and wiring a tree. We will provide a tree, (Boxwood, Ya(8 people – 6 spots open), $70.00 per person, Focus will be on re-potting. Students will receive a Tree, pot, soil, wire, handout, and a pair of scissors. We will re-pot the trees into a ceramic pot and make the initial branch selection.
